You can buy a replacement used converter assembly from individuals for $200 & have it installed for $100. Try the classified section of this forum or Parts Heaven salvage yard in Bay area. Magnaflow is a "1 size fits some" universal part. Just because a cat rattles dosen't mean it won't pass smog test. FYI CA state law says owner selling a vehicle must give buyer smog certificate upon transfer.
