I've bought a single 8" front wheel. It's 8/52. The Mk1 996 Euro GT3 came with the 8" front and 10" rear Sport Design. 8's are pretty impossible to find. That's what I'm trying to replicate on my aerokit 996 C4. Porsche put 7.5 and 10 on the turbo 996.

I have a guy trying to sell me a set he said came off his 996, but they are 9/52 rears. A 9" rear on a 996 just doesn't sound right, so I guess I'll pop over to Rennlist to see what they say.

So far I've bought a single 7.5, 8 and 9. 7.5, 9 and 10 are easy to find, but tend to bring big dollars. The 3 I've found so far have all been refinished and were pretty reasonable.

I also want to put a set of Sport Designs on my 2002S and take the wheels on that car and stash them for the future Spec car. I'm going to put Sport Classics on one of my '99s for the same reason - stash the wheels - you know how hard the rears are to find.

Thanks for your help!

Rick
