Ferrari once. My favorite comment was to take my daddies car home. Funny considering I was 40 years old at the time.

mine is a '01 boxster s with high miles. it is in perfect condition though and anyone that doesn't know Porsche would guess it was only a year or two old. was talking to a young guy at the gym that had an '03 350Z, he says, "yeah, I wish I could afford a porsche". I ask him what he paid for his Z, he said $15k. I told him I only paid $8K for my boxster. granted I got a good deal on mine, but he could easily get a boxster similar to his 350Z for $15K around here.
He had such a sad look on his face I felt bad for him

I bought some tires from TireRack recently and took them to a local tire shop for mounting. The guy behind the counter asked me what year is my BMW.

I had my car parked in the schools roundabout as I was coming out of the school I notice a guy standing right beside the door talking to a woman... As I get closer it's obvious that he's pretending it's his car to get the girl. A simple excuse me and my wife and I get in the car and drove off, poor sucker

Sometimes I wonder, how it is possible, that EVERY little German kid (probably toddlers, too) recognizes a PORSCHE 10 miles against the wind/sun
I guess, they must suck it up with the mother-milk...I have not other explanation how else they point their little fingers and yell "PORSCHE" each time they see one...and it does not matter which model or how old it is.
"ICONIC DESIGN"
Is that a miata?...not going to happen here, ever

I live in a small town (suburb of Nashville) and there are only about 4 or 5 Porsches that I know of. Only about 2 of us that are daily drivers, so I get quite a bit of attention in mine. from people staring as I go by to drive thru workers making comments and/or asking questions. I have had a few as what kind of Porsche it was, but never ask if it was a Lambo or Ferrari. Probably because the idea of either of those cars around here is just silly.
There are dozens of Nissan GT-R's around though. We have a Nissan plant and they just started leasing GT-Rs to employees (I have heard for about $600 per month). I see at least 2 every time I go out. Bad ass cars, but I still prefer my Boxster.

although, if you drive 15 miles to Franklin, TN (one of the wealthiest areas of the county) you see tons of GT3s, Lambos, Ferraris, even 1 or 2 Bugatti Veyrons.
