The Ins companies could care less about the insured. all they care about is $$$.

Yes, try being nice at first, you might get lucky, but as soon as they start to give you the run around, push back HARD.

When it is not your fault, your ins co is supposed to be your advocate and represent you in the negotiations, how ever they really don't care, so it best to just lawyer up fast.

Once they know that delaying or playing low ball games will cost them more time and $$, they are more likely to give you what you want to get you off their books
