You guys without a dip stick

How the hell do you check your oil? The dash gauge is insanely unreliable!!!
Although it has gotten me in the habit of checking the oil...

The guage in a 987 isn't that bad. I keep mine at the 3/4 mark and know I'm w/in the proper range.

Let me ask this:

For cars with electronic oil level only: If the electronic oil level sensor can accurately measure and display the oil level, then why the heck doesn't the car have an oil reservoir with a valve that simply adds oil when its needed?

^ what he said. Technology has always been a slacker....

Makes me think that these new 9A1 engines must burn very little oil.

When you are out of oil, you are out of oil.

kind of like an automatic pool filler. When the level drops, it adds water
