Question has been asked a million times !!
Use the search function @ the top of the page - you will see hours of debate on which is good and which is bad....

The Top Speed Pro-1 cat back is a 986Forum favorite. However, some owners report the dreaded mid-range "drone" so read up on all of the posts/opinions.

Literally just put a Borla Sport Exhaust on this morning.

Yep 2300-2700 drone on my Boxster S.

However its my drive to the track vehicle -- so I'm not that concerned.

I've only put 10 miles on it == but I can totally see where the drone would be annoying.

I would not have tolerated this on my previous Box S which was my DD.

I'll have to see what the boss says when I pull into the driveway tonite.

Good and cheap don't seem to be words you can use together when talking Porsche exhaust. To get the performance increase everyone wants and the nice mellow sound at lower rpm and then the good roar when you get on it you have to pay bigger bucks for something like a fabspeed.

adding cat delete pipes REALLY toned down the drone on mine...

Stock exhaust is likely better than a cheap aftermarket. Why are you changing? just for fun? leave stock is probably better unless there is something specific you are looking for, and even then a cheap one will probably not do it...

Unfortunately -- I live in a SMOG county -- so I don't think I can go that route.

I believe I have to keep the CATS to pass emissions,

I guess I could consider to swap them in and out once a year..........

Zaid,
see if you can find a shop that will do the muffler "Sport Exhaust" mod:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv_ljlNOe7M
Just the muffler, not the cat-delete pipes that are also on the car in the video.
