Headlight Help

New Boxster owner and New Member, so hello all.

I have a 1999 986 and need some advise/direction on getting parts for the headlights.

Here's the headlight assembly...

But it seemed the previous owner thought putting HID's in these would be a good idea, it wasn't...

I've already learned by doing some searches on here about how to open the headlight assembly, but obviously I need to replace the inside lenses. Does anyone know a source for this part, I just can't seem to find one online.

Or even better, does anyone know of a shop that I can send them to and have them fixed/upgraded?

There should be lots of lenses floating around here, since so many have purchased Fred's projectors. Put up a WTB ad in the for sale section. A better choice would be to buy a set of his projectors. Then you would not need the lenses.

I would get a set of Nine Eight Six projectors and install them, this would do away with the burnt lens and improve the looks of your car and add light output. Probably do the job for $350 if you DIY

Sorry I'm not familiar with Fred's projectors. I'd love to get a real set of lights installed into these frames. I'll try searching on Fred's projectors, thanks.
