How did you jump start the car without getting the hood open?

Was your battery light on while driving?

Jumper connection in the footwell fusebox. It has a slide out connector for the positive.

What Brad said

I would never jump anywhere but the battery terminals, a tremendous amount of current is drawn on a jump start....you want that battery in line and absorbing all the spikes and noise that takes place. Use the auxiliary port to open the hood....but not to jump the car off
