Low Cost Kool-Vue AC Condensers

I am having a little bumper/paint work done on my 99. I have had a small condenser leak that takes about 2 months to lose enough pressure to become ineffective. I also rarely put the top up unless I am traveling and get caught in the rain. It would be nice to have AC then! But I rarely need it.

I found these (Click Here) Kool-Vue units for $45 each with a 12 month warranty.

Anyone ever try these?

Personally I'd shy away from parts suppliers like those. That's just me, though.

Have you tried the Cliplight sealant (which seems to be recommended in Porsche circles)? Apparently it works fairly well and doesn't clog the system.
