it may also be prudent to order new exhaust clamps for the install. the amount of corrosion on the old ones was bad. also if I were to do the job again, I would also pull the exhaust manifolds. the nuts and bolts on the flange between the manifold and secondary cat pipes were so corroded they needed to be cut off, which was difficult on ramps to say the least.

Deterioration of hardware

I keep reading that people have to get theirs torched off ?

The bolts obviously had been hot, you can tell but a gear wrench and a slight spray of oil and all mine came right our...the clamps at the rear showed no sign of corrosion and came off easily....still shiny gold colored plating on the hardware.

Changed mine to Febspeed years ago and it ws not an issue...no rusted bolts or clamps and process went pretty easy. Sound great with my PSE modified muffler.
