Fuchs

Is Porsche 75W90 Fuchs Titan Sintopoid? Looking online and even at Pelican, I don't see the actual Porsche bottle.

This is the Porsche Transaxle gear oil:

2000 Porsche Boxster Roadster S H6 3.2L Drivetrain - 99991754600 - 75W-90 Gear Oil Manual Transmission Fluid - 1 Liter - ES#1513799

I think it may be made by Shell, there are some threads about it kicking around somewhere, if you look in the service manuals for the Boxster you will see some part numbers which you can search on. I used up a lot of time searching around for substitutes and then just bought 3 liters of the Porsche fluid for my gear oil change.

I don't remember seeing that Titan kind before when I was searching. Maybe it is a new kind?

The Fuchs Titan is what I see in the image on a few websites when I searched for "Porsche 99991754600".

I put in Mobil 1 75W90 last summer and it's been a disaster. When I did my IMS in April, I popped a nice hole through the aluminum skid plate with a 2" hole saw right under the drain plug, so I'll be changing the gear oil next week and the coolant too. I ordered the Porsche oil from ECS but I'm just going to pick up some lifetime antifreeze for the coolant change. $41/gal is a bit much.

Sunset Porsche in Portland, OR, has the OEM gear oil for $27 a liter bottle. You have to use ground shipping so Oregon vs. Ohio distance should make your decision for you. For me UPS ground gets here in 2 days from Portland, many days from Ohio.
