Chasing after cars you worshiped as a kid....

I'm really reading a lot about Ferrari 328 GTB or GTS. About 1988 vintage. Was my absolute favorite.

F-40's and Testarossa's are still above my pay grade...need to be swapping a few more boilers!

First car with TPMS? Wasn't this some major breakthrough car?

Jaguar XKE.

I never saw one in real life, they were way before my time, but my family often quotes me as saying I wanted one (I was 10 at the time).

More eye candy:
Jaguar XKE

I visited a Porsche showroom as a high schooler and looked over a 356. (A Volvo 544 was there, too.)

Now I fantasize my Boxster is similar.

For those thinking of XKEs, recall that those 4-speeds didn't have 1st gear synchromesh. The photo posted is a later, uglier version. Big turn signals, uncovered headlights. Still 3 wipers, though, something I thought at the time was ultra cool.

I remember going to Porsche's website in high school and "Building My Own Boxster". This was in 1998. Now I own a 99. How about that?

The carrera gt was the halo car for my childhood....... sometimes it isnt good to feel so young haha. With everyone on the old jags, 356, older ferraris. My real sweet spot though is late 90s to early 2000s, something fairly unpopular but i feel that its the last of the analog with many manufactures and the general curvy smooth styling is really nice with ferraris of the time and our 986 Porsches, Maseratis of the time look great. Out of all later model lamborghinis i prefer the diablo vt. Just alot of good cars made in the late 90s

For me it was Magnum PI's 1977 308 GTI. Man I loved that car. Liked the 328 more though.

For me, if I understand what woreship means, then it was not a car.

I'm with Nine8Six a mighty dump truck, a front end loader and then in later year's a guards red 930 Turbo with whale tail. I also thought 928's were very cool, still do working on the better half to agree to another fun car in the family - a very remote possibility at this time.

+1 on the 930 in guards red. A few years ago they we're selling in the mid $20s and I thought it might be within reach, but now they've moved a bit farther away.
