what is going to be covered in his books?

If its an engine building manual count me in as well.

I like manuals that reveal the magic in quality engine building rather than only give a blow by blow.

I think Jake is exactly the right kind of personality to reveal how high quality and performance builds are achieved.

It's the M96 Definitive Guide.
I've been sick for the past 4.5 months with serious sinus issues that led to hearing loss, no energy and no focus. Just this week I have recuperated and I worked on the book today.

I was supposed to already be done, but there's no way I could focus with splitting headaches ringing ears and hardly any hearing.

I am now prepping for my DFI 9a1 and Cayenne engine mechanical classes that I'll instruct along with my M96 engine mechanical class at the Worldpac Expo next month, as soon as I finish the curriculums for these classes it's back on the book..

It's only taken 5 years so far... It's a step by step guide of tricks and first hand experiences..

Jake, glad you are feeling better! I constantly have sinus issues, some days worse than others, and it definitely is not fun. I think we are all looking forward to the book

As a published author myself, I understand your plight, Jake. It's very difficult work to do when you're feeling great!

I look forward to reviewing your publication whenever it's released.

please make available on Google Play Books or at least Kindle.

I will not buy a hardcover book anymore. More space in the house, another thing to lug around or forget to bring along.

I'm sure you guys can think of some better ones.

I think the plot line will be about avoiding the soup, though I expect there may be some pictures of soup!

Can I get an autographed copy? Ha! I'm sure this will be a necessity for any M96 enthusiast who tinkers on their own equipment!

The book is titled "The M96 Definitive Guide"

Distribution will first go to those who distribute our components in the Porsche industry. These people, and companies deserve to have the first copies as they have believed in us enough to stock tens of thousands of our products and they also sell service manuals and guides.

These are the same companies that Pelican and others buy from, so this will get the book further into the Porsche world and enthusiasts hands right away.

This book isn't about money, its about sharing what I've learned and those who work with us being able to take advantage of that and the relationships we have built. Because of this, I do not want the book to be available on Amazon or for direct downloads/ Kindle or etc for the first 18-24 months after release in print. I already have ISBNs in hand.

The good news is the IMS bearing didn't fail, the IMS might have been in 3 pieces, but the bearing was good as new.

Don't worry, I have pulled all the failure commentary from my book in its entirety. Its all unicorns and rainbows now, just like what everyone wants these days...

Yes, its missing 1/2 of the crankshaft carrier

Ahhh, unicorns and rainbows. ^_^

Personally, I would rather have the book full of these horrific photos and the problems that caused the engines to die like this. Very interesting to me.

Thats too real for today's world.... Positive reinforcement that "everything is going to be Ok" is all thats acceptable with the masses.

For those who want to learn the "other" side of things, attend my training sessions... Thats where the carnage is brought to the surface...
