Anyone try SoftronicSoftware on their 986 ??

Has anyone tried SofttronicSoftware? They promise to add 15 hp, which I believe would be more noticeable on a base 986.

Porsche 986 Boxster Performance Software Tuning Flash

Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.

Well I have the Softronics tune about a year. It has been stable and I have had no problems or code issues, but my car is heavily modified. That was the primary reason I got their tune. They were able to adjust the tune base on my modifications.

I had it on a not-heavily modified 986S and would say that this was the single biggest waste of money I ever did on my Box

Thanks for the comments. I wonder if it's more noticeable on the base model versus the S.

15hp (7% on a base 986) is not likely to be immediately/easily noticeable in day to day driving but will help during full-throttle acceleration.

and dramatically saves you dosh on petrol consumption long term-wise. Lots of the emission control can be wiped out which I assume this is what they do also at Softtronic
