Beware scam artists contacting forum members!

I've got a WTB post up in the parts section and was contacted via PM by a seller named Davvid (David Richardsen in the UK). Zero posts on the forum, just a PM to me asking for my email address and telephone for specifics about the part.

He emailed me with an offer, saying he'd only accept money gram, no paypal. No photos of the part (a muffler) and no specific model year. Definitely a scam artist-- beware!!! :troll:

Got a Pm yesterday from some new member with several numbers in the user name. Offering red lobster and similar gift certificates and coupons.

Turns out, the swear word filter works in IM too.

I got 3 spam 'visitor messages' - so I just turned off visitor messages (not PMs) in the options panel.

Ask him to send the shipping address to my friend's work address. He's a swell guy my friend, he doesn't mind at all.

I look for bargains from people who like to PM you
