Well i found this on the internet?

"By Jason Q.
from Denver, CO
I have wanted a Porsche sports car ever since I was a very young lad. Whenever I would see a Porsche drive by, I would point it out to whoever was with me and be absolutely giddy for a few minutes. I would always think that someday, if I were lucky, I would have a Porsche of my own. Deep down though, it seemed very far off and unrealistic because I thought its just not practical or needed.

I was introduced to The Secret a couple of years ago by my beautiful and totally strong, positive wife Marlo. I had learned of the Law of Attraction a few years earlier from a co-worker but did not really get it until it was presented to me by The Secret DVD.

To put The Secret to the test, I started focusing on attracting a Porsche. I started by looking at Porsches for sale weekly and then daily. At first, they seemed so expensive! After a while though, the outrageous price tag seemed reasonable and eventually I was telling my wife that I will own a Porsche of my own. Next, I mustered up the courage to go test-drive one. After all, it says in the movie to do whatever it takes to visualize yourself behind the wheel. So, I test-drove a used one and then a new one. At this point, I knew what it felt like to be behind the wheel of a Porsche and could visualize myself driving to and from work in my very own Porsche. I then cut out a Porsche crest and taped it to the steering wheel of my Nissan Altima and drove it like it was a Porsche. At first, I could only visualize it as a Porsche for a few seconds at a time, and then seconds became minutes and then eventually the whole forty-minute drive was in my Nissan/faux Porsche.

It was at this time, I found the perfect Porsche that was to be mine. I took a day off work and my wife and I went to test drive the car at the Porsche dealership. What an exciting day! We were there for a couple of hours and with the car nearly the whole time. We went back the next day and I took over thirty pictures of the car. I made a video collage with the pictures and looked at it every day. My wife also took a picture of me sitting in the car with the top down and I put this on my phone. I was dealing with the dealership for the car daily but it felt all wrong. The salesperson that I was dealing with would not budge on price and generally was not interested in dealing with me. I told the salesperson that I would be away on business for a week but that I was still very interested in the car and would be willing to negotiate more when I returned. Upon my return from my business trip, I communicated with the salesperson regarding my interest in the Porsche only to hear the car is being picked up by its new owner as we speak. I was completely devastated.

I took a brief hiatus from looking at Porsches online but soon persevered. I drove my Nissan with the Porsche crest taped over the steering wheel every day and dreamt of Porsches every night.

Almost one year later, I found the same Porsche for sale at another Porsche dealership. The previous owners wife wanted something bigger so they traded it in on a Porsche SUV. I couldnt believe it! My wife didnt believe me at first but I requested a Carfax from the dealership and verified the VIN. It was the car with very low miles and in pristine condition and a lower sales price. My wife and I went to see it and started negotiating with the Porsche dealership and got exactly what I wanted all along, my dream sports car for a fair price. It was so perfect and so easy!

The moral of this story is that The Secret works if you work it.

The Asking is fairly easy and the Receiving is also fairly easy. It is the Believing that you have received what you have asked for already that can be somewhat difficult. However, this is the key. When it is hard it is not right. Change your approach as I did. You see, I did not have complete faith that I would get my dream Porsche at the first dealership and it was like swimming upstream when I was dealing with them and I met with temporary defeat. But then, I changed my approach and truly believed every day for a year that I would indeed receive the Porsche that I had asked for and I did. Not one like it, but the exact one! I was completely blown away and still am every day. The Secret has changed my life!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!"

I dont know if this is trying to sell a book or convert my faith or what, but i felt it was worth a post. I find the part about the Nissan laughable, but i feel a few of us can relate to this in one way or another, and also have a laugh over the whole sat in the car taking pictures without the money to buy it bit. Who knows though maybe the author is among us here haha.

I simply used Craigslist. Much easier, similar result. 996 C2 for $10K. There are many roads to the same place.

The claims made by both the book and film have been highly controversial, and have been criticized by reviewers and readers in both traditional and web-based media. The book has also been heavily criticized by former believers and practitioners, with some[who?] claiming that The Secret was conceived by the author and that the only people generating wealth and happiness from it are the author and the publishers.

Others assert The Secret offers false hope to those in true need of more conventional assistance in their lives—for example, in 2007 Barbara Ehrenreich, an author and social critic, ridiculed the book's weight control advice to "not observe" overweight people.[11] According to the Religion Dispatches, Byrne argued that natural disasters strike those "on the same frequency as the event" and implied the 2006 tsunami victims could have spared themselves.[12] In businesses using the DVD for employee training or morale-building, some reacted to it as "a gimmick" and "disturbing" like "being indoctrinated into a cult".[11]

In 2009, Ehrenreich published Bright-Sided: How the Relentless Promotion of Positive Thinking Has Undermined America[13] as a response to "positive thinking" books, like The Secret, that teach "if I just change my thoughts, I could have it all".[14] She worried this was delusional or even dangerous[12] because it avoided dealing with the real sources behind problems.[15] It encouraged "victim-blaming, political complacency, and a culture-wide "flight from realism" by suggesting failure is the result of not trying "hard enough" or believing "firmly enough in the inevitability of your success". Those who were "disappointed, resentful, or downcast" were 'victims' or 'losers'.[12] Ehrenreich advocated "not negative thinking or despair" but "realism, checking out what’s really there and figuring out how to change it".[14]

Historian and ethicist John G. Stackhouse, Jr. also provided historical context for "The Secret," critically locating it in the tradition of American "New Thought" and "mind over matter" philosophy and popular religion in his weblog.[16]
On the Adam Carolla podcast, Dr. Drew said "The Secret" promoted "primitive thinking" as a replacement for actually earning esteem.[17]

A customer has a 996C2 cab that needs an engine for 12K. Thats a steal, for a cab with less than 100K miles.

It's really no secret... If you really want something and focus on it - you have a good chance of getting (doing it). I think most successful people would agree that setting a goal is 'The Secret'. So simple but so few actually do it. Hence the popularity of the book ( I assume. I didn't read it...)
