Paid $15k for mine 1.5 years ago. Had 115k miles. Needed tires, brakes, starter. Still need IMS at next clutch. It's a sweet car.

After I drove both, I knew I needed an S and did not shop both.

Driftguy, I've dumped a lot of extra money into my 1997 to make it look much nicer and newer than any 1997 ever was:

Tail lamps, litronics, seats, 3 spoke wheel (out of 2002 boxster/carreras)
18 inch aftermarket Carrera lights
Leather door panels, leather center console pieces
Upgraded shift knob, stereo, cluster, cluster rings, rear speaker box
Aftermarket headers and exhaust and underdrive pulley
Coilovers and adjustable control arms

I also have a 1 inch thick folder full of repairs I've done to the car since I've owned it in 2004... wheel bearings, coolant overflow tank, oil filler tube, sway bar bushings, drop links, control arms, water pump, engine mount, and on and on it goes...

And with all these wonderful mods and repairs on the car I bet I can only get $9,500 for it here in Houston ... and that would be to that unique person who had been searching for a 97-99 model and seen a bunch of crappy ones with a nasty worn out interior and no service records.

Please come back to this thread and let us know what you actually listed and sold the car for, would you? I'd be really interested.
