Carbon Fiber Inlays

getting tired of looking at plastics, thinking of ordering carbon fiber interior trim from ebay? suggestions? for or against?

Edit: found out that it is vinyl to cover the normal trim... still may do it as long as it is reversible.. price is under 70 bucks plus free shipping and it covers.. ALL trim

I would look into doing some 3M Di-Noc carbon wrapping with heat gun and xacto.
I've seen some nearly factory looking examples in BMWs in Google images.
Those pre-cut Ebay kits always look like they came from Pep Boys.. too plasticky.

speaking of Ebay, I recently bought some fake vinyl granite using similar techniques for a counter top and connecting table, and the result was fantastic. It fooled everyone who walked past.
As long as you don't put a hot pan on it or start dicing onions it will hold up well.
