Yes, very emotionally attached. It's a sin.
I've considered "what if I just put in on Craigslist for a crazy asking price, and just drive it until it sells",,,, and then I think, I could never sell her! I love my Boxsteress too much!

No, although it did take me a while to find one I liked. Really, it is a hunt. I could easily move on to the next hunt. Lots too choose from. I like many different cars. I just have the Boxster now.

Yes, I am attached but if a deal on a 996tt came along, I might be tempted but.....I really don't know. Right now, I am extremely happy with my current ride.

Well, when you add in a great deal on a 996tt, that's just too much to deal with. Sold.

I have a 2000 S, if someone wanted to trade me straight up for a low miles 2004 S Anniversary edition with hardtop and IMS Solution then I probably would... Otherwise.... I'm keeping it

I was emotionally attached to all the money that went into this car. Man I miss that money...
It was so good to me... We had such great times. You just don't know how much it means to you until its gone...

Personally, I have never been a car guy... until I started thinking "I wonder what a fun, fast convertible costs"?

I was immediately into the Boxster for the looks, name... and the price! After the first drive I was in love...

It's all about the top-down for me. Not really looking to 'upgrade' to a different Porsche or anything. This was exactly what I was looking for, and more!

Hell, I'd sell my kid for the right price. It's just a car. If I could sell it for enough to let me buy another Boxster, in the same condition, and pocket some cash, yeah it would be gone.

Nope, just another cool car to me. I have the 99 Boxster and its actually a second sports car for me so I don't pile too many miles up on my gen 2 Viper.
Ive had many cool cars and bikes and the only one I miss is my SPFGT40. Theyre just cars, some are cooler than others.
Due to the economy I have had to sell this buy that a few times.....Its ok cause I love all the cars and bikes ive owned and theres plenty that I haven't owned that I love too.
I love the vehicles but not attached. I usually get sick of them after a couple years.

I'd absolutely sell it. It's fun to drive but I'm sure plenty of other cars are as well.

I'm a bit attached to my Box, but there are plenty of other Boxes out there!

I've like to swap for a low-mile 3.2, but one thing that concerns me is the devil-you-know thing.

After four years, I know where I am with this car and I'd feel hellishly foolish if I swapped to a 3.2 and it blew up or generally caused a lot of grief. May still do it, but that remains the worry!

I gotta have my head examined based on what I've spent vs the worth of the thing. So yes, I have major beer goggles on.

I bought this car 18 months ago just before I turned 60 and it is the best thing that ever happened to me. I've had too many girlfriends, but only one Porsche and she loves me back every drive.

I've never spent money as carelessly as I have with my Boxster. I am truly money- no object, head over heels in love. I must confess that I hunger for a 911 more everyday- one from each generation please. A bone-stock '85, a 964, a 993 Targa and a 997 GT3 . But sell the Box- no way! Besides I've just done a mini-restoration on it and it's not going to need anything for 5 years....then there's the Spyder...with the 9A1... then I DRIVE BABY again and all is right in the world again. Baby gives me the best return for my money other than a racing school years ago...

Nice thread. I have to say I *hated* Boxsters....until my wife brought up buying one. Now that we have a Speed Yellow Box...I have fallen for her. Lovely lovely little car with great lines that get noticed when you look close. And she's FAST!! Plus I've done a lot of work on her myself which adds to the attractions/affection. I have a Special Order 981 in my future....but it will be a sad day if I have to sell the Box to get the 981.

I added to my will leaving a younger cousin my silver Boxster. I already went over everything about the car that he should know just in case I croak.
