Because the Washington Generals are not in the NBA, only the Wizards, and that wouldn't be fair.

Because when the Globetrotters started, there were no black players in the NBA, so the good players went to the Globetrotters, traveling the country (and the globe) kicking butts with plays and techniques that are now standard in pro ball.

I remember as a little kid in the early 60's (maybe even late 50's) seeing the original Globetrotters, with Meadowlark Lemon (now 81!). They did all kinds of gigs, big and small, and came to the local high school, playing around with/"against" the varsity team. Sweet Georgia Brown they were great.

But Jager's right...they'd get their butts kicked in the NBA.

The NBA won't allow a bucket of water on the court.

I saw the Harlem Wizards as a kid; they played a game at my local community college against a "team" made up of community leaders. It was a great show.

Anybody remember the globetrotters on Scooby Doo?

Love the globe trotters they are great entertainers. They bring fun and smiles to the spectators. Nba is all about entertainment also but a more competitive enterntainment.

Have you heard about Ruckers park? Fierce streetball competition there. Plenty of Nba players like K Bryant and others use to go there to play for the competition and the tradition of the black top street ball. Why aren't all those guys not playing in the Nba? The Nba has made it where its almost impossible to get in if you don't go through college now. NCAA has to get paid to I guess.
