Porsche Service Advisor?

A family friend was just offerd a job as service advisor at porsche, do you think the salary will likely be higher then at his current work place lexus. He worked with Mercades for 10 years and eventually was making abover 80 grand as a simple service advisor. Of course lexus does not provide the same income. Would porsche provide better income then lexus despite being lower volume? It's a Porsche, Jaguar, Volvo, (soon to be range rover/ lotus as well) Dealership with only 2 advisors. in comaparison to lexus being 10 advisors. The area doesnt have many porsche or jag owners, but its the only dealer for miles and is covering a very very large area? Do you guys think he should take the job? Would you exspect a higher salary from the Porsche dealer?

I am a Compensation Director by trade and the question you are asking is a tough one to answer as there are many variables involved in a employer deciding what they need to pay to attract and retain good employees and what they can afford plus factor in the skills that the prospect brings to the table. Your friend should ask at the appropriate time what the compensation package range is. If it is not to his expectation then he should withdraw respectfully from the process. Bottom line is that he should ask. Hopefully it meets his expectation. Just because they sell high end cars does not necessarily mean then pay at/or above market. Hope at helps. Good luck to your friend.
