Thought I'd update, for those that care



The power blew out the rear axle, so we're putting in one from a Mk2 supra

I'm interested because of the driftablility of this platform. I competed in the 1st drift competition in the USA in 2003. Drifting is the funnest thing I have done in a car. Once you get the car running you should take the Bondarant drifting class.

Haha. Despite this car's popularity (and simplicity) in drifting, I am actually building a full blown road car. Suspension will be set up for grip, as drifting on public roads isn't the most prudent thing to do.

Although I'm sure with the new power and rear axle, a little kick to the clutch will allow for shenanigans.

Have you compared torque vs. RPM for the 2 engines?
