I am not a lawyer so I'm not providing legal advice.
It's more than likely you're going to have to lawyer up yourself to get anything back.
If MotorMiester has filed for bankruptcy, you'll need to file a claim with the bankruptcy court for what you're owed. A lawyer can do this for you. If the court approves your claim, you'll be placed somewhere in the pecking order line with all the other creditors to see who actually gets paid out of MotorMiester's assets.
If MotorMiester hasn't filed for bankruptcy, you can demand they pay you back. My guess is that they won't pay. In that case, you'll need to sue. If the total is under the small claims court limit, you can do this yourself in a court located where MotorMiester is incorporated or does business. If the amount is over the small claims court limit on damages, you'll need to sue in civil court. The first is relatively cheap to do; the latter can be expensive.
If you plan to do anything at all, so it soon. Time is not on your side here.
