997 Shift Console on eBay for $52.50 Shipped!

The listing has it as a 5-Speed coming from a 987 Boxster. This is the same shifter console that are used in 997s and many of us have switched to. The part number, 997.424.010.00, is the same for 997s. It will work on 986 5 and 6 speeds. It is a great improvement over our stock consoles and this is a heck of a deal!

Just out of curiosity, would one buy this instead of ashort throw shifter, or are they 2 different things?

There are a lot of posting regarding the 997 shifters. They are tighter, smoother and have a shorter throw than the OEM ones in our cars.
