Short shifter or what?
There is no pic of this in the 101 Projects book. So is this the short shifter or is it just a custom shift knob?

That looks like the stock shift knob on a 97-99 Boxster. They went to the other style later around 2000 I think.

That seems strange seeing that my Box is a 2001 base. Maybe they were running out of new shift knobs.

That's the shift knob that my 99 came with, and was the original shifter. I replaced it with the '03 version.

Same style of shifter as used in many earlier Porsches, too.
