What a cool idea. I'm in Houston, so it would be a bit of a trek, but I wanted to compliment you on your idea. Hope you get a great turnout...

You don't know how bad I want to make this but unfortunately I'd have cops chasing me all the way down there from both sides of the border! Last year would have been perfect on my 7 week road trip across Canada & the U.S. I was so close after leaving the U2 Joshua Tree in Death Valley and Vegas...I was within spitting distance of you...arrggg!! Oh well..think of me when you're chowing down all that Texas pulled pork...:ah:

Man oh man, the pulled pork was FANTASTIC!

Kenny takes some pork shoulder, trims the fat, then slow cooks it in pineapple juice in a crock pot for six hours on high, then the remaining six hours on low. The end result is incredibly delicious!

The cars are great but the people are what makes it FUN!

The BBQ was good too!

Thanks to Kashmir for hosting the event! It keeps growing bigger with each event. AND we had leftovers, so you should have come out….catch us next time!

We also have a new logo….(compliments of RP17)

Enjoyed it!

Just stumbled upon this thread searching for mechanics in Texas. I picked up my '03 Base in Austin and took it home to Lubbock back in August 2013 but just recently joined the forum. Sad I missed the bbq but maybe next time!

I use Zim's here in Bedford but that is a bit of a drive for you. Take a look at this website:
