If the door latch microswitch thinks the door is open it will drop the window down. My passenger side has the reverse: It thinks the door is always closed, and do the while the window drops while I lift the handle, it goes back up as soon as I release. So I have to roll the window down a little in order to close.
I have the parts to fix; I just haven't gone in there yet to do it.
