HELP!!! I'm stranded 100 KM away from my house

Hi All

I have 2001 Tiptronic. I got to my friend's house and as i was putting the car in park it got stuck in Reverse. It feels like the link that connects the stick to the gear box is disconnected. How do i get to it. Is it from inside the car or do i have to go from underneath. Any quick help would be amazing as the sun is setting fast and i won't be able to see anything

Thanks!!!

Try this link:

http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/12142-01-986-s-tiptronic-stuck-r.html

or this:

Unfortunately, the first post is not too specific about where the electrical connector was located. Maybe it is around the shift linkage.

Good luck.

Thanks Kevin and Mad Mods. That got me started on the right direction. My biggest issue is finding where the stick connected to the transmission. When I got there (thanks madmods) no zip tie was going to fix the issue i had. I had to replace component 8 in the diagram. After i took it out it seems like the old one was under engineered. The new one seemed beefier. This is something people might want to inspect past 100K Kms on their cars so what happened to me doesn't happen to them.
