Porsche quirks ...

I've noticed a few quirks over the years ...
964 aero mirrors being different side-by-side
Turbo S side intakes being different side-by-side
Etc.

Well today I had a Pdr guy go over the car and fix all the little dings
At least One in each panel

So I've just been going over the car and notice a boxster peculiarity
The two side grills are different .
The fan side is sunk in , and the air inlet is stuck out

The Pdr guy did a fantastic job as usual .
This is the 4th car he's done for me now , and to say Debbie is happy is an understatement .
If anybody in Oc/la needs a dent guy I can highly recommend a good guy .
( doesnt charge p-car tax either )

The #1 Porsche quirk has to be the ignition key on the left side.

Is it Saabs or Volvos that have the key down on the floor as a safety feature?

Any other cars with ignition keys in odd places?

I also think it's weird that Boxsters from 1997-2002 have no gloveboxes.

And I will never understand how my 1999 Miata had a glass rear window, and my 2001 Boxster has a crummy vinyl one. I am really looking forward to changing the top to a glass window one, but I take too good care of the canvas...it'll probably last forever, ugh.

[QUOTE=Auf los!;353199]The #1 Porsche quirk has to be the ignition key on the left side.

Tradition left over from the old " LeMans" starts. Drivers could start the car while shifting into gear simultaneously.

Mine was 8lbs more... and I totally love it. Vinyl rear windows suck rocks.

Don't blame the vinyl! My vinyl is gorgeous after years of use. Crystal clear and large!

IMO, those glass window tops are hideous. They're way too small and look like they came off of a Miata! Ugly...not to mention that I don't need any more hassle with engine access.

The inlet has a lip to direct water away
