Aggressiveness in this case relates to how much the wheels extend out. The boxster fitment does not require spacers and the width is narrower.

They don't require spacers, but you can still get spacers if you want them to extend out?

You're only going to put 265 rears regardless of wheel width? Unless you want 285 which is what the 996 carrera wheels are designed for.

True. But it's also because the 996 wheels were being offered at a good price and I wanted to know if they would fit...and also because I still haven't found boxster ones.

Here is the guidance:

Fronts : 8 to 8.5 inches wide with offsets ranging from +35 to +45 depending on how aggressive you want to go.

Rears: 9 to 10 inches wide with offsets ranging from +35 to +45 depending on how aggressive you want to go.

So to answer the question, yes they will fit but you will need to space accordingly to achieve correct fit and the dersired stance.
