Help! I'm being targeted by vandals!

Found this Saturday morning. I rinsed it off and hour later there was MORE! I may need to find a deterrent.

Sort of looks like bird crap. Mocking birds are notoriously territorial and will try to fight the reflection in the window glass meanwhile crapping all over your car. I have to be careful where I park at work due to the mocking birds nesting in trees in the parking lot and doing a similar number on my Boxster.

I've seen a Mocking Bird fight with its reflection in the mirror for hours on another persons car for weeks in the parking lot with similar results.

Just cover up your mirrors and see if that helps.

I have not seen any mocking birds around but their are lots of their close cousin, the catbird, around (are we profiling?). This is definately a new behavior. I also thought to try turning in the mirrors but evidence sugguests he is actually standing on the window seal as well as the mirror.

I had the same problem when I first got my Boxster, except it was sparrows. I made some foam sleeves for the mirrors with nails sticking out of the top side so they couldn't land on the mirrors and there was no reflection for them to attack. I taped over the nail heads on the inside of the sleeves so the paint wouldn't get scratched.
Got a car cover to permanently solve the problem.
