Dangermobile Scheduled for IMS-oscopy !

The Dangermobile is heading in for an IMS-oscopy tomorrow. Strangely, the shop going the work instructed me not to feed the D-mobile after 7 PM tonight. Does this make sense ?

Yes, you wouldn't want her coughing anything up while under anesthetic! And by the way, probably a good decision considering what you have invested in her. I assume you are going for the upgraded LN bearing, but are you also getting the clutch done?

21k on the clock, i'd say they clutch is about only 1/3 worn if that.
I'd save my cash, and stick a new bearing in there when it goes. 30/40k down the road...so by JD's standard....15 years from now!

Love you man!

Yes, the LNE bearing with a dab of Oil of Olay.

I'm guessing the clutch probably has even less wear than that. In which case, I'll be in assisted living by the time it has to be replaced. ;)

This is an easy DIY. Just use this instruction manual:

Bravo JD! Get 'er done with and enjoy.

Sometimes being a man of danger is knowing which battles to fight, and this opponent is a ninja.

I hope the Dr. has skinny fingers.

Seriously, how do you inspect play in the IMSB short of taking down the trans?

Death by Ninja would be less painful than IMS failure !

Don't worry it will all be over tomorrow. I send down some Monte Cristos for you to pass around in the waiting room

I hope they know what they are doing... It is the Dangermobile.

Danger
You should video tape this endeavor. Wait are you going to drive to the shop or have it towed? jk :p

Danger:

I hear IMSocopies aren't covered even under Romneycare because Porsche considers them experimental procedures.

The good news is the Dangermobile will be good for 10 years before the next required check up if the technician doesn't find any ferrous polyps in the oiling system.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hope they don't leave a sponge in there...

Eric G 06-26-2013 06:17 AM

We will keep you in our thoughts today...hopefully the surgeon is good and it will be painless. For your anesthetic...have you opted for IV or Gas? It helps in the recovery.

Actually, I'm in western Mass. and the D-mobile is being serviced in Connecticut. :)
