Today was simply the drop-off. Tomorrow is when they'll be doing it. In the meantime, I got a room down the road a ways.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, there are only a few things that could go wrong.

1.They forget to lock the motor at TDC and a timing chain gets knocked-off during the procedure.
2.They break the IMS pulling the old bearing out
3.They break the IMS putting the new bearing in
4.They can’t get the new bearing in
5.They can’t get the new bearing installed all the way in the seat so they can’t install the snap ring
6.They install the new bearing crooked

The rest of the procedure is pretty much straight forward as long as they do it right.

I was having a very similar moment a couple days ago when my yellow box s was having its IMS done. Phew. Now that its over and the lil speed box pulled though, its now time for some pure fun free from the worries of the all too common and dreaded IMS catastrophe
