Wow . . . Love the car. Could be my cars twin.

Incidentally my wife and I are doing a west coast trip this June to visit some friends on Salt Spring Island. I'm looking forward to driving through BC with the top down, if the rain holds off.

Welcome to the forum. The 986 is a great car and will keep you smiling for a long time.
To keep it that way here's a few items to loo into if you haven't done it yet.
AOS- this should be part of a routine maintenance item every 3-4 years as they are prone to fail.
IMS- as a pre-caution should be replaced
Spark plug Tube Orings. These tends to leak.

Here's one of best websites for DIY projects. The owner is also very helpful.

You have a great looking 944. If possible you should keep it. Great examples are rare and demand for great example is high. I too came from Rennlist and I still have my 944. Both cars are great in their own way.
