Removing Emblem glue

Last weekend I was washing the Boxster and the "S" emblem came loose and left some hard glue on the trunk.

What sort of glue solvent can I use that will not harm the paint?

Also, to glue the "S" back onto the car what glue would be good to use?

Suggestions?

To remove OEM letters/emblems, you can use teeth floss, double strand and pull straight down.
To remove the sticky glue/tape thats left on your hood, get a can of sticker/decal remover spray like this. Spray and let it sit for a few mins, then wipe, use your nails to peel off, (never use sharp objects) be patient, lil by lil it will all come off nicely. Use alcohol to clean up the area and you are ready for your new emblem. Don't glue your 'S' back on the hood, clean the old glue off first and get some 3M double side emblem tape, trim to size and place it back on that way, press firm.
