I'm with Particlewave- the angle of that middle vane is not related to anything else on the car: poor design, end of story. JD do you like the Edsel's front grill?( by the way, the designer of said car has just passed) Those 'turbo' grills remind me of our headlight design!

Danger, why not just get a Turbo to wrap around those turbo-style openings? Should cure your boredom.

It seriously doesn't bother anyone else that they point upward? I'm too OCD...it would bug the hell out of me.

Enough said.

Maybe they weren't lined-up properly ? I can see a gap between the front bumper and side maker.

Got to be one of the ugliest cars ever, but I remember loving it back then. I had honestly forgotten all about it and this is the first time I've seen it since I was young.

Despite the aesthetic ineptitude, it still has some pretty amazing numbers

Could be, I suppose. Still a nay for me, though

Well my friend, you just saved yourself about $600,000 than.

And yes, VERY impressive numbers, even after 25 years.

JD, what vent covers do you now run? I upgraded my '02 to the '03/'04 vent covers and really like them. That said, whatever floats your boat.

Yep to the tech arts. I like those uber better. Amazing how color can affect the look of something as simple as side vents. I think the turbo ones would look like crap on my seal grey. But somehow they look pretty good on speed yellow. Fwiw the the charts look best IMHO.

Johnny,

IMO, the turbo style introduces a sharp, short, horizontal line that doesn't match anything else on the side of the Boxster. I think the stock vent is fine.

If you absolutely must mod the side vent, I personally like the Techart style better, if you have the interior fin yellow, too.

This is another option:

Danger, I put them on my 03 S this spring and I absolutely love them! Updates and changes the look of the car. The company is a joy to work with also. Just send out an email to the and they will get right back to you. The first pair I bought started to swell and the fiberglass began to delaminate for some reason after about a week..a quick email and photos quickly had a replacement set on its way. She said this had never happened before. No fitment issues and they look like they belong on the car. I have also painted the vents on my radiator intakes black, so I was not worried about continuity either. These would flow well with your front end.
