I'm curious to know if the Cayman motor and lift mechanism will retrofit in place of the 986 motor and lift mechanism.

Thanks for all the kind words. I should have the car back in a week or so. I am going to change the name of this thread and expand it. I am including the other exterior mods that are being finalized.

This bumper is from Precision Porsche and looks great. It is not completely bolted on in these photos, but the fit and finish look good for an aftermarket piece.

I will take high res photos of the entire car once it comes back from the body shop.

This is my previously hidden rear end mod. I despised the bumperettes so much that I made a plate to remove them.

Very nice. Do you have a write up for your bumperretes removal? And where to purchase the plate?

The bumper is stock. The lower diffuser was bought here:

It looks great. I wonder if it would fit an 03 S.

What is the difference in the 03-04 that makes the diffuser not fit?

The material that the diffuser is made awesome. It comes folded in half in a box. Lay it out for a few hours and it looks perfect. It is well worth the money and the guy at GT3TEK is very cool.

I am so anxious to get the car back. This is only the second time it has ever been gone. The first was when the dealer had it to reprogram my computer / keys after the engine swap.

Here are the full side shots. The car is back, but really needs cleaned.

Very good sellers. Mine is still sitting in my spare room! I'm debating whether to paint the whole bumper silver or leave the Boxser SPyder inserts as is (bumperette color)

To others interested, this part is made of bendable polyurethane.
That's one part of the car I don't like using fiberglass. On a previous car I had numerous trips to the bodyshop after each time someone bumped into the back of me. Little more than a slow tap was all that was needed to crack the fiberglass after the first fix. Fibgerglass does not like to be repaired. At least with the polyurethane there is more flex.

Cheetah, the Euro look no bumperretes is a great mod. I unfortunatley need them for my Willwood rack/tire tail. But I think I might have to give your LED side markers a shot now that I have the smoked LED tail lights.

Your car is in need of side skirts...I have my Cayman spoiler on order. I also ordered the lift mechanism from the cayman, no reason this shouldn't be a direct replacement for mine.

Do you have a front 3/4 view of the car with the bumper installed?
