I got a 4 digit code from the java thing. When I went to enter it the radio is expecting 5 digits and only allows 1-7 to be entered, the code had a 9 in it. I'm confused, ............

Ok I got my code from the dealer. Unfortunately I entered a few wrong codes before and now all the stereo says is wait. I can't get to the screen where you enter the code. I unplugged the battery again hoping to reset but still the same.

Any ideas?

Thinking of getting an original CDR for my new/used '98 Boxster

Hi,

I am looking at getting an original Becker CDR stereo but no point getting it unless I can unlock it and use it in my car.

The ebay link is....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORSCHE-BOXSTER-986-CDR22-CD-RADIO-Ooooooooo-/281340324024?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item418130a8b8

From this I can see that the serial number is X5020837

Is it possible to get the code please and does anybody envisage any issues with me getting this work in my car, as it's not from my car originally.

Cheers,

Doug.

New code for CDR-22

Hi,

I just bought a CDR-22 to replace the non-OEM stereo in my Boxster.

Unfortunately there was no code as it was a scrap recovery case.

The Model No. = BE 4467
Serial No. = X5020837

If somebody could help me find the code it would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Doug.

Thanks for the reply JayG,

I tried the web link a couple of times on different browsers and it just wont run correctly for me. Keep getting an error on the page after allowing Java to run.
