Good Point! Also, bear in mind that FL is one of the easiest States to
Wash a Title in. I have a Buddy who buys wrecked (Salvaged), but repairable Ferraris and Lambo's. He has the cars put together correctly and Titles them in FL to lose the Salvage Title from another State. Also knew a guy (actually only met him several times) who brought Gen 1 Lotus Elises into the Country from Germany ('96, '97 models - non-EPA certified) and got FL Titles on them as Lotus Elans. He imported and sold 15 of them before EPA, NTSB, and Customs caught on. Unfortunately, he had returned overseas and the owners of the non-cert Elises had their Cars impounded and were left hanging.
Not to say that this has happened in your instance, but, I am always leery of Cars coming from FL - DO YOUR HOMEWORK and get a PPI!!!
