Depo Smoked Tail Lights Scarcity...why????
Just wondering if anyone knows why the smoke Depo Tail Lights are getting harder to find? I could have sworn that just a few months ago they were easily found on ebay with multiple listings. Now I only see one for over $400. Were there any issues with them or are they that popular now that they are sold out? Thank goodnees I purchased mine last year with no issues so far, but a friend of mine was thinking about them and when I looked they were no where to be found for the price that I paid which was less that $180 at the time.

I have no idea, but noticed this also. E-bay has been bare of them for the last month and there were only a couple of sellers with the clear version also. I was looking to purchase a set myself but was not ready to pull the trigger when there were so many available to purchase.

I wonder if they have any issues. I know that one of the reasons the DRL Projector LED headlights were sold out is because they had issues with leaking and the LED's not working and I wonder if this is also the reason for the DEPO tail lights. Although, I cannot find any information about it so I'm not sure what the reason is. Poor quality, dicontinued, etc.???? Like you said there were a lot of listings on ebay and all of sudden I can't find them anymore.

So I'm guessing this is the reason why they are so hard to find.

I've had the clear set for about two months. No issues with quality. They seem very well made and look great

Been using mine for about 6 months, no problems except the wires were way too short, and I had to extend them a bit. They also are super bright, and feel sorry for people behind at traffic lights.
I imagine as older Boxsters are retired to the junk yard, the demand for aftermarket parts is probably diminishing.

Just purchased the clear ones last week off eBay for $160 shipped. At $124 shipped from DDM, and smoked to boot, I couldn't pass it up and ordered another pair!

Does anyone have a picture of the smoke tails that they can post? I'm debating right now. My boxster is white.

It's due to the pending legislation governing LED brightness
