not really.
you can locate the solenoid wherever you want.
however, you will need it if one day you will need to do a clutch job.
that bracket is suppose to connect to the engine support bar.



i also found out that with tip trans there is another bracket that attached to it.
but you are not going tip right ?

It did look like an engine lift eye but I thought it to be way too thin!!
