Mine is e-gas thats why I presume it will be a 124 code , like the one in the car

you might be right.
look at this link:
Porsche Boxster Air Cleaner Parts
part # 7 is the MAF sensor.
in the table to the right, you can see more then 1 option.
on the remark column, you can fined your year, and on the model column you can find the engine type. M-XX
you can confirm by looking at the engine number printed on the block.

Given the man's location, the correct part number is the 124.00. UK cars are often introduced as different model years and sometimes even have different pollution controls so you have to be careful in using US assumptions when replying.

Boxa.net/forum is a good UK Boxster forum with active participation and some knowledgeable folks.
