Question Washed Engine

A friend of mines detailed my car and washed the engine to show his appreciation with some favors I've done for him. Now I can't get it to pass 40mph. He said it was because he forgot to leave the engine running during the engine wash. I gave the car a couple of days to dry out but even that did not help. T he gas pedal seems to just mush on the floor. I mean, I'm pressing with all my might and barely get any power. Now he said it might be my spark plugs. Any suggestions before I take it to the Porsche Dealership? I just got the Dansk header, exhaust, and pflow intstalled. Waiting to see if it's worth doing the powerchip. Now, I got to spend money to fix this problem.
