The mirrior on the european boxsters has "dead zone mirrior" bulb mirror as standard
on the drivers side(left), you can find them used cheap at ebay.
Yes, they are life saving...

Those are called Aspheric mirrors. I guess "blind spot mirror" was too difficult for Porsche.

Very easy to install. You just have to be careful not to rip out the wiring behind the stock mirror lense. I actually did the swap right in the parking lot when I picked it up at FedEx. I was too cheap to do both sides... having spent over $9K in mods and all..
