2013 Boxster S

2013 Porsche Boxster S: Focused on Fun - Ignition Episode 49 - YouTube

Follow the link to see Johnny D's future Boxster. I hope whoever owns mine is taking great care of it! I should be able to take it off their hands in about 4 or 5 years

If I go for the 981 I'll have to hold out for a less ornate, less cushy R/Spyder version.

And for the love of God I hope that they don't make that version in PDK only the way they're doing with the GT3's.

PDK is going to be an out of warranty night mare. Keep it simple.

I have to admit that I think the new boxster (and cayman for that matter) is stellar ! Still can't warm up to the "race yellow' though.

Nah, I'm happy with mine for now, but I can see one of these in my driveway in a few years

Nearly all of the current 2013 Boxster dealer inventory in the Dallas/FT Worth area is PDK It's going to be tough to find a standard in the future.

Went to Sunset Imports today to pick up something and they had an Aqua Blue 2013 S on the showroom floor. It was beautiful and impressive, but the price tag was $90K plus.

Sorry, it was a special order blue...

Car Details
Too light blue for me. Here is my dream:

I configured one for fun, the price was below $70K for an S with a standard transmission, heated/ventilated seats. The key is to not add too many options. The one option I want most though is free - European delivery how fun would it be to pick it up at the factory and then spend the next few weeks enjoying Europe! Now I just have to go buy some lottery tickets

Even just adding a scant number options, an "S" builds out well into Ferrari 360 Modena territory. Hmm... have I said this before ?

What about this one? Comes in Danger Yellow with all of the "right options"! (and yes, those are actual pictures from the ad!)

Sunset has some really high cost Boxsters. They'll make a nice prize for a patient buyer in a couple of years.

Too bad the mileage is so high, three pedal Modena's are becoming more and more difficult to find.

I was driving my red Boxster this weekend, and a red 2013 Boxster S passed me. Nice couple, we exchanged waves. Then he took off, and damn, I couldn't catch him!

I really liked the look of it. I'm figuring 5-6 years, and then I'll check the prices. I've had my car 6 months, and put less than 500 miles on it, so I've got a ways to go with this one.

I am a bit hesitant about the electronic steering though. The biggest thing I like about this one is the steering response.

But the Spyder top is attached with little snaps and flaps. And there's no real door handles. Love the fairings, though.

I agree, I love the Spyder, but the top is to impractical for me. Forget about driving in in the rain, or cold weather.

^ There's nothing wrong with the top. You just live in the wrong part of the country!!

If you don't drive a Boxster Spyder you're probably living in miserable weather. Time to move!!
