Give the mechanics a break! They need to make a buck or two same as we all have to.

If you were self employed you would try to make as much as you can, right? Same for "stealerships", they have a so much high overhead and our German friends tell them in detail what they can do and what not, including to invest a lot of money into building upgrades etc.

Having said that above quote is fair. Live and let live.

I was quoted $4400 for the much the same thing here in Canada. We pay more for everything here. I even got the manager's okay to check on work while it is being done at the indy shop.....

I think the quote was fair. Mind u have not had it done yet. Delaying the inevitable.

+1 on that. Didn't have any intention disrespecting the mechanics among us.
Just like most of the guys here, I think oc was fairly Quoted.
Was under the impression Thom is buying the parts himself.
