Mobil 5W50 in my Boxster:
6,700 miles
Phosp.- 1,200
Zinc- 1,700
Mobil V-Twin 20W50 in my 993 Turbo

Jake, why is it so difficult to obtain technical data sheets for Gibbs products like the DT40 that list info like ZDDP levels? I really think more people would consider using the DT 40 is they had some data to compare it against Mobil 1 and other brands.
And is there any information available yet on the "improved" DT40 you mentioned some time back?

Hey Jeff, when I asked Jake about this last year, his response was some time in late 2013. See Chuck W's response in post #12 above .

I have thought that I would use M1 5W50 (April - Sept) as warm weather oil
M1 0W40 (Oct - March) for cold weather.
Car came from dealer, oct 2012 with new M1 0W40 + filter

Just run the Mobil 5W50 year round. Unless you live in the artic tundra. Keeps it simpler for you and less waste. The 5W50 is a little hard to find, but the internet makes it possible to find.
