price for 09 base boxster-what to offer??

ok, I think I found a car-boxster base,cpo,17kmiles,$$35,500..only options are 18"
wheels, hi discharge headlamps, winddeflector, heated seats. so they offer me a $11k on my 06 miata,19k miles. now I think miata on trade is worth from $11-13k based on other offers and kbb, nada(edmunds is way lower). from the boxster carfax it looks like the dealer has had the car since july but they claim on market for 60 days. looking at other 09 boxster prices looks like $35k is usual asking price. anybody have experience on a good offer price?? thanks.

$36K is the expected dealer CPO price. Private party price is $32K. $34K would be a decent buy because of the CPO warranty. I'd start at $33K and see where you go from there.

It's winter in Albany and the end of the year. I would bet that they can do better.

Prices must be dropping because only a month ago a low mileage 07 Base was going for 34,900. That's pretty low mileage and you shouldn't feel taken if you pay 35k for it. Was that the list price or did you talk them down already. See if you can get them down to 33,500.
I've noticed a huge difference in prices from the Porsche dealers in NC, in some cases 4 to 5k differences. Some 07 and 08 'S's have recently dropped too.
Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Check Kelly's Blue Book, kbb.com. You can set all the options, mileage, even condition for private party sale.
