Desnork Question... Again

I have 2006 987 and looking to desnork. All the directions I see says to remove the vent on the driver's side. My intake is on the passengers side. The driver's side vent is completely blocked. Is my car normal? What am I missing?

Also, when i look into the passenger vent, I see what seems to be a fan. What is this?

THANKS!!!

Take a flashlight and look into the drivers side intake again.

P.S. That long slit isn't completely open as an intake.

Okay, I know the intake set up is similar to the 986 but WTF do you have going there?

Check this article out. Porsche installed a some sort of plate to prevent cigarette butts from catching your air filter on fire. I think it's all BS.
