My car tried to kill me

Yesterday I drove the Boxster up to the store to get some Pumpkin beer.

When I went to put the deliciousness into the frunk, I guess that I didn't put the hood all the way up. As I was bent over, the hood came down, slamming the latch part into the back of my head. Hurt like a SOB.

Never did bleed, but I am now sporting a huge lump on the back of my noggin, and it's about as tender as you would imagine.

Be careful out there.

Time to replace your hood prop rods. Its a 5-minute job. The colder it gets, the more likely it is that this will this continue to happen.

The alternative is protective headgear or to stop buying beer. Either would be drastic steps when there is such a simple solution.

...it is obvious, you did not offer your car a first taste of said pumpkin beer. Apologize profusely, offer said beer to car and replace your rods as soon as possible.

They like to drink from steins in Germany, the car was just covering the brew, likely has the X67 brew freshness option which is a deal at only $1200.00.

I think the prop rods are OK, I just didn't get the hood all the way up, it stays fine if you raise it all the way. I ducked in there when it was just about halfway and let go of it.

I could be wrong, maybe the rods should hold it past the halfway mark.

I learned the hard way that mine does the same thing except I got stabbed in the back. Maybe my head isn't hard enough to remember to push the frunk all the way up before leaning in. If I remember, the next time I need to get into the frunk, I'll put my bike helmit on first.

Meir, you can make beer from almost anything...although I would not drink anything, there have been some really unique creations at our breweries around us.
